About J.C.
Dr. J.C. Matthews is the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Life Ministries and founder of J.C. Matthews Ministries, REIGN Worldwide Inc, REIGN Worldwide Publishing Company, the International Kingdom Institute (IKI), and the International Association of Ambassadors (IAA). J.C. currently is an instructor for the International Kingdom Institute and teaches courses within its Foundations, Advanced and Ambassadors Curriculums. J.C. and wife Gena also host the Kingdom teaching television program “The EMBASSY” formerly entitled “Living Life Powerfully”.
J.C. has worked for some of America's top corporations prior to entering into full time ministry. Dr. Matthews possesses a B.A in Political Science, as well as a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree. J.C. was twice a recipient of the prestigious "Who's Who Among American Law Students" Award (1996 and 1997) in recognition of the outstanding study of law, as well as having been honored as an Urban All-American by the General Assembly of the Ohio State Senate. J.C. is also a member of the International Third World Leadership Association (ITWLA).
J.C. is known as the consummate "overcomer". From the beginning he has had to overcome various obstacles, such as: premature birth, frequent hospitalization, a stuttering problem, disciplinary issues, poor academic performance and financial devastation. J.C.'s wide breadth of life experience and his "Never Give Up" philosophy on life, empowers him to effectively communicate with the struggles that the majority of people today are facing. This "Never Give Up" life philosophy led to J.C.'s well known saying, and book by a similiar title,"Your Situation is Not your Destination, only Preparation! Dr. Matthews brings a necessary revelation of the Kingdom to the Body of Christ. J.C.’s unique blend of corporate, ministerial experience and legal training has given him great insight and understanding of the covenants, concepts, laws, principles and truths of the Bible; enabling him to effectively communicate them within the context of the Kingdom in a profound, but simplistic manner.
J.C. resides in the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex, and is happily married to his wife of over 21 years Gena. They have 4 children together, Jelani, Gemela, Jamia and Gena, whose ages range from 19 to 7 years of age.
